
Small thrush with brownish upper parts and pale pearl gray underparts. Upper breast may show some very diffuse medium-gray spotting. Crown is solid brown, face is gray-brown. Most obvious markings are an orange eye ring and solid orange bill. Brownish back, wings, rump and tail sometimes have reddish cast. Pinkish-orange legs.

Habitat:
Woodlands and forests with thick undergrowth.
Behavior:
Can be quite secretive. Often forages on the ground.
Feeding:
Earthworms, insects, fruit and berries.
