Is there any other bird song like the Hutton's Vireo in the Eugene, OR area? I heard what I thought was a Hutton's, but it sounded clearer. I think of Hutton's making a "Chree, Chree, Chree" sound where as the sound I heard was more like, "Treee, Treee, Treee.." Same consistent repetition as a Huttons. Then again, I was hearing it through a window & couldn't get up to check it out. ;-)

Offhand, I cannot think of another western Oregon species that sound similar to Hutton's Vireo.

Neither can I, I recognize what you heard. Hutton's do vary a bit. It is the repeated, even paced style that is a key.
