
Tiny parakeet with small yellow or grayish bill and long pointed tail. Natural variation adult: blue patch and two black dots head. Clean yellow forehead, loral area and throat. Yellow face, nape, back and wings barred in black. Gray wingtips. Green underparts and dark tail. Blue feet. Yellow wing stripe visible in flight. Juvenile: Barred forehead and dark eye. Domestic variations: Escaped cage birds may show a wide variety of color patterns, ranging from green to blue and white.

Habitat:
In North America, most often found in urban areas (escapees).
Behavior:
Highly social. Mimics many sounds.
Feeding:
